Again in Berga

Hey people!

Again in Berga, we'd like to tell you how the stay in Denmark was.

The first day, when we had to take the plane, many of us were very scared, because they had never flown by plane before. Also the people who had taken a plane before were so nervious due to we were very exited to visit Copenhagen, the capital city of Denmark. We saw our exchange danish students again at their school, when they prepaired some food for us.

All the catalan students were very happy to see them again, and they to see us, of course. All the danishes’s families were very friendly with catalan students, so we are very proud of our stay in Denmark. We could see some landmarks and districts of their country thanks to them, when they took us to visit some, such as the little mermaid.By means of some excursions they organised for us we could see and learn more things of Denmark, as you can see in the pictures.

We learnt how metros, buses and trains work there, owing to it’s a little beat different from our system. Public transport is very used there, almost every day they take it three or four times. Also bicycles are very popular, they have a road for bycicles next to every normal road. The days passed very fast, and the last day we couldn’t believe that we had to leave, it was like the second day. We think it has been thanks to our exchange students and tehir families that have helped us a lot and because of their kindnes. Thanks to that exchange we have practiced English a lot, and we have learnt more vocabulary therefore we wouldn’t mind to repeat that exellent experience and do more exchanges.

Even though the first day we were a little beat nervous to go to Denmark, the last day was totally different. We were really sad and disappointed to leave that beautiful country but also happy to see again our families and friends.

We won’t ever forget this experience and we hope to be in touch with our exchange students and their families.

To finish we would like to say thanks to everybody, specially the teacher who came with us to Denmark and Víctor, one of the most important person to make this exchange possible.

Tuesday 29th of April

Our last day in Denmark was really nice. We met all the catalan students in the high school whil the danish students went to normal classes. Some of the students went to an english class and other students went to a french class. When the classes finished, we had a short free time and then we exposed our works that we have done in the school before going to Denmark to some danish students that were in the spanish class.

Then we said goodbye to our danish students. Few hours later we were on our way to the airport.
At half past five we checked the bags and at five we came into the plane. After two and half hours we arrived at the airport in Barcelona.

 There we were waiting for a bus to go on the road to Berga. We spent an hour and half from Barcelona to Berga. And finally we arrived in Berga and saw our families.
We spent seven nice days in Copenhagen. We have learned a lot and we would like to do it again.

Monday, 28th of April

Hey! Today has been a different day, at 9 o´clock we have gone to classes with danish students and we have done activities with them. We have made two groups, a group of us has gone to english classes and the other group has gone to spanish classes. We could observe that the educational system in Denmark is very different as ours. It has been a short but funny experience.



Then, we have taken the train and we arrived to HELSINGØR (the town where Hamlet´s castle is located). We have been visiting the town and some of us have bought some souvenir. Next we have visited Hamlet´s castle. It was very big and we have enjoyed the beautiful views.

After that we have gone into a ferry to go to HELSINGBORG (Sweden). We took 45 minutes to visit a little the city without teachers.

Finally, when we have arrived at the high school our danish exchange students have prepared us a delicious homemade dinner.
It has been a wonderful day, in our opinion one of the best days in Denmark! :)

Carlsberg Museum, Dragør and Øresund bridge

Hello, today in the morning, Catalan and Danish students visited the Carlsberg Museum.  We show you the group picture that we took and the students are going to tell you their experience inside the museum.

In the afternoon we visited the typical village of Dragør which is situated 13 km south of Copenhagen. It is a fishermen village that has a typical coast atmosphere because there are little houses with beautiful colours and straw roofs. Moreover, you can see narrow streets to walk and a nice meadow near the port. Finally, we took pictures to the Øresund bridge: it is the largest bridge in the world and it connects Denmark and Sweden.

27/4/14 (Sunday)

This morning we got up pretty late because we went to sleep late at night yesterday. At around one o clock we went to the Calsberg museum where we saw many things related to the old Egypt, Mesopothamy, Greece and Rome, such as sculptures, tombs and some other kinds of art expressions.

We also saw frech and denish paintings, and there was a concert too, but we had to leave when it was about to start. 

We had a great time in the museum and we think that it was very fun and interesting. Then every catalan went with their denish host, and everyone did diferents things.

Some of us went to Christiania to visit it and others went shoping and sightseeing.  

Finally some of us went to a channel and had dinner. In the channel there were lots of people having fun, and there was even a party.

Hey guys!!
Yesterday we passed all the day out. In the morning we were sleeping. At one o'clock all Denmark people and Catalan people met in Tivoli. Tivoli is a park. This is de website:  https://www.tivoli.dk/en/

We passed a good day in Tivoli. It´s a good park like PortAventura but Tivoli is smaller than PortAventura.

At the afternoon we had dinner in a beautiful park. Then we went to Laura's house and we saw a film.

Visiting the Assistens Cemetery and the Louisiana Museum

 Hi everybody, today the Catalan teachers visited two interesting places. In the morning we went to the Assistens Cemetery that is located in the middle of Copenhagen. It is very impressive because the graves are situated among beautiful gardens and paths. Moreover, you can visit the J. C. Andersen grave that it is situated in this cemetery. Copenhagen people go to the cemetery to walk, run and think because its a relaxing and quiet place. We agree that in this place the concepts of  life and death are very close and it is very different of the Mediterranean countries where the inquisition had a strong influence in the middle age.

In the afternoon, we went to the Louisiana Museum with Silvia and Ole (her husband). It was a very nice visit because the museum is situated in the beautiful town of Humlebæk, just 35 km north of Copenhagen. The museum is very original because you can visit it with the family and your children can play in a nice room adapted for them. Moreover, the museum has the outside gardens near of the sea and you can eat on them your lunch.  Its art collection is focusing  on modern and contemporary art, architecture, photo and design. In addition, we saw an interesting exhibition of Islamic art.

HI EVERYONE!!

Today,the 25th of April, at 8 o'clock we met with all the students in the high school. We went to see the classes of the high school, the music class, the library, the teachers' classes, the kitchen, the playground, the P.E hall...
The high school is very big and there are a lot stairs and doors. Also there is a class just for the students where the teachers can't get in. And in the music class they have got pianos, guitars, drums...

Later, some students did a very very nice concert for us,  they sang 8 songs more or less, all of them were really nice and very well played. We really liked it !!


After seeing the choir  we had lunch in one of the students class, and then we wanted to go to Christiania. It's a wonderful place that it is a self - proclaimed autonomous neighbourhood of about 850 residents, also known as Freetown Christiania. Finally we couldn't go because of the time, but we will go on Sunday. We are very excited for it!

This afternoon we have great plans, we will go to a shopping centre and maybe to a concert! We are having really fun!
